Smile

SMILE
by
Eric Kobb Miller

A flash of bright light appeared before me,
and, in my sight, sparkling white teeth I did see
that were framed in a smile which made it clear
that she was sending everyone good cheer.

She was not draped in fancy clothes,
her hair was not adorned with bows,
and no jewelry enhanced her image.
It all just came from her smiling visage.

And ever since, I've started each day
with the smile she sends my way,
that is life's number one fashion accessory,
and the only good luck charm that's necessary.
