Scrumptious

Scrumptious
by
Eric Kobb Miller

A woodpile of random words
was toppled by a poet's pen,
then placed in a scrum where,
with outstretched arms wrapped
around one another's broad, aching
shoulders, they wallowed in the mud
of battle, until they licked the
scrumptious taste of victory, which
was as sweet as a poem.
